The Roadmap to a Successful Life is Found in The Word of God.
Seek God First! Well, where will I find him? How do I know where to look? What if I begin to look and can't find him. All questions I asked when wanting to seek God, but I didn't know where to start.
Start with his word. Start with talking with Him.
Matthew 7:7-8 Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. and to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
“The road map to a successful life is found in the word of God. God would like to lead and guide us every step of the way and his word provides a guide to us as we navigate through life. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. His word teaches us how to walk out his ways so we can be successful in every part of our lives.
Matthew 6:33
Seek the Kingdom of God first above all other things, live righteously and he will give you everything you need.

What is this scripture saying to you?
What this scripture is saying to me is to always seek God before seeking anything or anyone else. God wants us to seek him first in everything we do. If we don’t, we are going out of order. God wants to order our steps but how can He order our steps if we go off seeking other things before, we seek him. We must seek God first in our day, in our decisions, in our personal life, in our relationships, and even in our businesses. So basically, in every area we must always seek God first.
After we seek God first, then we must choose to live righteously.
Live Righteously- Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, they will be filled.
Let’s take a further look on “living righteously” I found a great explanation on living righteously from an article online, which read “Living Righteously, requires commitment on our part to agree with Jesus and pursue the lifestyle He says is right.” So, it requires an action on our part. Well, you may ask yourself, how do I know what lifestyle is right that Jesus wants me to pursue? I mean this is a question we may ask ourselves when we want to know what Gods ways are. To answer that we must simply seek after Him with all our heart and get to know him by spending time with him to know what lifestyle he requires us to live. So, it brings us back to the scripture. Matthew 6:33 Seek first, live righteously, and receive everything you need. This tells me that when I seek God first, he will show me his ways, he will teach me his ways, he will equip me with what I need to live according to the way he wants me to live but I must choose his ways and commit to being obedient to the lifestyle he wants me to pursue. It takes action and commitment. It takes us applying Gods word to the way we live.
A question I will ask you is, what areas if any are you struggling to obey God and what keeps you from seeking Him daily and living righteously? You don’t have to specifically answer me, but please allow yourself to sit quietly before God and answer these questions with Him. Write them down and pray over it and bring this list to God each time you spend time with him.
Spending time with God in his presence is a place to be completely honest. Talk to him as if he is your best friend because he truly is. Below I will share a few of my struggles that has challenged me to get closer to God and to seek him in these specific areas. Can I just remind you that Luv4Life fashion Blog (fashioned in faith) is a place that I want to not only encourage you in your journey but to also be honest and transparent as I allow God to help me through my journey.
Ok here goes, what areas am I struggling to obey or have struggled to obey
God?
1. Waiting to the last minute and rushing
2. Honoring God with my time
3. Being obedient in my responsibilities
4. Not allowing laziness to creep up time to time and not allowing it to create roadblocks in my growth as God’s daughter, as a businesswoman, and as a caretaker to my family and myself.
5. Not allowing myself to become distracted
How can I overcome these strongholds?
1. Rebuke them (example...Distractions I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, I have the mindset of Christ and I will not become easily distracted because my mind is covered by the blood of Jesus) (say it with authority)
2. Fight these struggles through praying, fasting, and meditating on God’s word on these specific areas
3. Provide action behind each of them to overcome and defeat these things. Often reminding myself why it's important to be obedient to God and wanting to please him.
4. Be consistent in prayer and apply God’s word in every area of my life
